Can you imagine what would happen to you if you had any HCl in your body? It might like, help you digest food. Frankly, I think that just dumping them in a building and feeding them enough to keep the alive while they go through their withdrawal symptoms cold turkey is a good idea. Cracking down hard on long-term dealers and addicts should be part of the approach. But treatment alone isn't the only answer, and a war on drugs is appropriate. Wouldn't disagree that the WoD is failing or that petty users shouldn't be thrown in jail post-haste. The problem with the way we prosecute in this idiotic drug war is that it lumps all users into the same criminal category. If addiction is a mental health issue, and it is, why the fuck do we attempt to treat it with handcuffs and prison instead of with doctors and hospitals? I just have my blinders far enough off I can see that the WoSD is a dismal fucking failure, focused on creating criminals, rather than medically treating the real addicted.
